Jacksonville Based Film & Television Company Brings Home an Emmy!

The award was presented Saturday, May 15th, at a ceremony in New York, by the National Television Academy. This is the first National Daytime Emmy for PineRidge, after receiving four nominations this year, and one nomination last year. Jerry Smith, Joan McCord, Sylvia Caminer, and Sid Goldberg are the “Great Hotels” Director honorees.

Smith, McCord, Caminer, and Goldberg directed a combined 90 half-hour episodes and 10 one-hour specials of “Great Hotels.” Hosted by Samantha Brown, the Travel Channel series has taken audiences to 114 Great Hotels around the country. With a 75 million household universe, the Travel Channel is one of the fastest growing cable networks in the United States. PineRidge Film & Television’s Emmy is the first for the Travel Channel!

The Emmy was presented at the Creative Craft awards Saturday evening at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square. Celebrity Chef Emeril Lagasse hosted the event, while a stellar line-up of daytime celebrities presented the awards.
