GUEST SPEAKER: Kim Dawson, Producer/Consultant, Skydog Productions. Kim Dawson is a 29-year veteran of the film and television industry based in Orlando, FL. He has just completed production on a major independent feature, “Bobby Jones - Stroke of Genius”, which was released in 2004 by and will be available on Sony (Columbia-TriStar) DVD in late 2004. Along with his production credits (as shown), he has also served as a management executive for Showtime Networks, Trans World International, & most recently w/ Trans Continental Companies in a joint venture w/ ABC &MTV. Kim Dawson manages and owns Bobby Jones Film, LLC based at Universal Studios Florida and has operated SkyDog Productions as an independent production company in Orlando since 1988. SkyDog has engaged in a wide range of activities from providing complete production services and consultation, to product development, to joint ventures and co-productions. Kim is both a line and creative producer with a strong business managerial background, narrative experience, as well as marketing expertise. During the summer and fall of 2003, Kim produced Bobby Jones - Stroke of Genius, an $18 million feature that was 13 years in the making. Shot on location in St. Andrews, Scotland and Atlanta, Georgia, the film stars Jim Caviezel (The Passion of Christ, The Count of Monte Cristo) and was directed by Rowdy Herrington.
