2005 Miami International Film Festival Announces Call For Entries

The 2005 Miami International Film Festival will be held February 4 -13th in Miami

Categories open to submissions are: World Dramatic Competition, Iberoamerican Dramatic Competition, World Documentary Competition, Late-Night Screening Shorts

Deadline for completed Dramatic and Documentary feature and short films is October 15, 2004. Submission fees are: $35 for Features and $20 for Shorts. For local filmmakers, the fees are: $25 for Features and $15 for Shorts. The submission form and complete information are available online at: www.miamifilmfestival.com.

The Miami International Film Festival (MIFF) brings the best of world cinema to South Florida and plays a leading role in maintaining and further enriching its film culture. MIFF uses the unique geographical and cultural position of Miami to be a premiere venue for the exhibition of international and US films, with a special focus on Iberoamerican cinema. Throughout its 21-year history, the Festival has earned and maintained a position as a major regional film festival, which has launched to national prominence, filmmakers such as Pedro Almodovar, Lasse Hallstrom, Fernando Trueba, and Atom Egoyan. Under the continued leadership of Nicole Guillemet, former co-director of Sundance Film Festival, more than 150 filmmakers, producers and talent from around the world attended the 2004 Film Festival to introduce their work to industry professionals and Miami audiences.
