48 Hour Film Project Comes to Jacksonville
THE 48 HOUR FILM PROJECT - Jacksonville, Florida August 3rd through August 5th, 2007 Make A Film in 48 Hours! The 48 Hour Film Project, the first and biggest of the timed film competitions, brings filmmaking teams together to make a movie from scratch - teams write, shoot, edit and score original music - all in just 48 hours. This year the 48HFP will visit over 50 cities around the world. And this year it comes to Jacksonville! Filmmakers will compete to see who can make the best short film in only 48 hours. The winning film will go up against films from around the world. Enter today! Space is limited. Each completed film is guaranteed a big-screen screening in front of a full audience. DELRAY BEACH FILM FESTIVAL REELS IN THE STARS. GET IN ON THE ACTION!
Actor Jessica Walter: Best known for her performance in the film, “Play Misty for me,” Jessica will be receiving the Stella Artois Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Barry Bostwick, starting at 7:30pm, opening night at the Crest Theatre. You can catch her from the 22nd-23rd. Actor Barry Bostwick:Best known for his performance in the cult classic, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” Barry is available for interviews opening day of the festival, Monday. He also serves as Creative Director for the festival. Actor Sharon Gless: Known for her roles on hit shows such as “Burn Notice,” “Queer as Folk,” & “Cagney & Lacey,” Sharon is by far no stranger to audiences. She will be arriving at the festival March 27th. She too will be receiving a Stella Artois Lifetime Achievement Award. Actor Cassie Freeman: Cassie will be receiving the Chole rising star award at this year’s festival. She will also be serving as a judge in the “Script to Reel Competition,” Thursday, March 25th.
