FILM FLORIDA ELECTS 2005-2006 OFFICERS

The not-for-profit group – whose purpose is to represent Florida’s film and entertainment industries and promote the creation of jobs in the industry – elected its new leadership at its recent quarterly meeting.
The 2005-2006 officers are:
President: Ed Stamm, General Manager of ARRI CSC
1st Vice President: Graham Winick, Film & Entertainment Production Manager Miami Beach Film and Print Office
2nd Vice President: Massimo Martinotti, AICP/MIA Film
Secretary: George Cornelius, Tampa Digital Studios
Treasurer: Bonnie King, Film Commissioner Space Coast Film & TV Commission
Past President: Todd Roobin, Film Commissioner Jacksonville Film Commission
Other elected board members are:
Association Council Board Members – Richard Seres, President, Film Florida Publishing Company.
Film Commission Council Board Members – Chair: Krista Sorka, Tampa Bay Film Commissioner; Jude Hagin Ocala/Marion County Film Commission; Jeff Peel, Miami Dade Mayor’s Office of Film & Entertainment; Rita Brown, Florida Keys & Key West Film Commission; and Maggie McCarty Collier County Film Commission.
Industry Council Board Members – Chair: Alec Colley, Panavision Florida; Mara Gurevitz, Cast & Crew Entertainment Services; Robin Wright, Detour Studios, Inc.; and Steve Lasky, Lumina Productions, Inc.
Labor Council Board Members – Chair- Joe Humphreys, I.A.T.S.E.; Larry Gianneschi, I.A.T.S.E. Local 600 International Cinematographers Guild; and Randy Pines, Teamsters Local #79.
In Florida, film and entertainment is a $3.9 billion industry, representing 3,885 businesses and employs more than 42,000.
Film Florida is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a leadership role in Florida's film and entertainment industries by representing a coalition of interests, including private industry, local film commissions, industry associations and labor organizations. Its purpose is to offer to businesses and individuals the benefits of a statewide trade association to promote the creation of jobs in the film and entertainment production industries and to promote economic development and tourism.
