WRITER, DIRECTOR, PRODUCER OF WM. H. MACY MOVIE TALK TO G-STAR STUDENTS
1/4/2008
They spent the day at G-Star instructing the students on how to write a screenplay and sell it to a major studio; how to develop characters and storylines; how to direct a feature film; and what a Producer does. Their subject matter was filled with amusing anecdotes involving famous names in the film industry.
Upon the completion of their seminar they toured the motion picture facilities with the intent of returning to the G-Star Studios to shoot future films here in Palm Beach County. “I definitely will come back to shoot a movie here,” stated Mr. Hecker. “Your students are amazing. When directing big scenes with that many teenagers we expected problems with crowd control, actor’s placement, and noise. We had absolutely none of that with these kids. They hit their marks and knew set etiquette unlike any kids we've worked with before.” Mr. Pastorelli expressed feelings of gratitude saying, “G-Star really came through for us. We were in a terrible bind trying to find that many students for the pivotal scene in the movie. The G-Star school delivered the students on such short notice. They saved our film. Mr. Macy and Ms. Tilly truly enjoyed working with them,” he added. “They both had nothing but praise for these young actors.”
Bart Got A Room is a PG rated film about a high school student who can't find a date for the senior prom. “The film is in the Ferris Bueller’s Day Off genre,” said the Director. Look for a summer release.
