FLORIDA FILM INSTITUTE OFFERS SUMMER CAMP FOR ASPIRING FILMMAKERS AND ACTORS

Beginning this summer, FFI will give students the opportunity to focus on essential and practical aspects of commercial motion picture production, including script preparation, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, directing, acting and music. The program will feature instruction by South Florida Film Industry professionals. FFI will introduce a beginners Yoga class for students. At the end of the session, participants will showcase their film at the Mayor’s Recital.



Registration is available now at the Florida Film Institute Office and will end on June 20th, 2008. Auditions will be held for the Film Camp participants on June 23-24 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students will be asked to audition regardless of past experience. Auditions may consist of acting, singing, dancing and film technical skills. The film workshops are free and limited to 30 students. Contact FFI’s office at (305) 891-3456.
